Auot-Open stop

How can i stop an auto_open macro from exdecutin in excel. i need to edit my code in that program but i cant get to it becuase on the auto open i have it closing that file. need help.

I seem to recall that if you hold the left shift while opening the file that macro's are disabled....

Someone here can correct me if I'm wrong,...Ive seen this problem before.

Have a look at this FAQ: faq68-1371

running Excel with a /s should give you what you need. I also think holding the shift key down whilst Excel stops it running macros, but am not sure. I am sure about the /s though.
