Hi All,
Has anybody ever setup a auto attendant on an Audix voicemail?
Can you provide me with some help/guide?

Many thanks

John

Add sub (Extension)
Change Page 2 of the form from call answer to Auto Attendant
Populate the 3rd new page with your 1 key dialing preferences.

Populate or change the auto attendant routing table if required.

The above assumes you have a basic knowledge of Audix. if you need step by step you will have to supply the application and or situation you need addressed by this.

This does not reference PBX changes.

thanks Ken07734!

I have added sub 1070, and changed the type to
auto-attendant, and on page 3 just added under key 1, ext 3054 and treatment transfer.

I have programmed the definity to route a DDI to 1070 and put that in the cov path of the audix.

When I ring the DDI the audix answers and says " attendant service not available please try later and disconnect"

Is this because there is no message recorded? would i record a message the same as recording a mailbox greeting?

Thanks Again!

I have now recorded a message and put the following in the 3rd page for testing and none work. I get the message "you have selected an invalid option" when you try any of the digits

Button Extension Treatment Comment
1: 3054 transfer Jane
2: 3054 transfer
3: e transfer

Kind Regards

John

Do you have an x-port station (with a cov path to audix) set up?

Hi SF0751

I have an X port station of 1070
with a coverage path going to the audix, when you call the DDI it gets answered by the audix. But when you press a single digit option it says "you have selected an invalid option"

do you have transfer set to yes on the 3rd page of the AA mailbox? Does the Extension you are xfering to exist?

yes I have transfer set to yes, and the extension exists

for auto attendent to work you need to record a greeting on the mailbox that you have used for auto attendent. Until you record a greeting it will not work
Thanks

If you have never set this up before make sure that on the system parametrs feature form in the Audix is allowing you to transfer out of the audix. Page 3 of the form under TRANSFER TYPE. Should be set to enhanced no cover, or enhanced cover 0.

Teleflash

thanks prflash, it is set to none, under transfer type.
When i change it to enhanced no cover, or enhanced cover 0 using the f6 key and choosing the option from choices, and enter it says "invalid Input" i have also tried entering a covering extension but this still doesnt let me change the type to enhanced.

it will let me change it to basic if i enter a covering extension but not enhanced.

Thanks again

sounds a bit strange. AA is straight forward. there4 must be a reason why Audix is unable to transfer tot he station, it seem sthat Audix cannot see that station. Is it in a pbx that is DCS to the PBX where the audix is?

thanks all! I think its working now, set the transfer type to basic, and added the extension number in the transfer dialplan and its working.

its an old inskin slim audix version4! its nearly 10 years old
