Greetings to all.
I have an issue where the caller reaches an auto attendant and is prompted to press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to be transferred to a voice mail extension. MsAudix plays a message that "the line is busy, returned to previous activity". This is only happening on some of my phone extensions.
Should I be looking at the G3r switch or Audix 5.1 voice mail?... Coverage paths maybe? I am unable reset or release the station because there is no port assignment for the voice extensions... is there a reset or clear on Audix for these subscriber records?
Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
MsGrace

Make sure the extensions you are trying to transfer to are administered on the Audix as mailboxes also. As a fraud-prevention default, Audix will only transfer to extensions with administered voicemail boxes. You can have Avaya dial in and change it so Audix will transfer to any extension in the dial plan.

Also, check the COR on your Audix port extensions on you PBX and the extensions you are trying to transfer to. Make sure there are no FRL conflict issues.

Hello MsGrace,

This subject has been posted here before, see the thread thread690-327792 for some backgrounds.

However, if you're not trying to transfer the call to a station but want to let people leave a message in the mailbox directly, you should use "call-answer" or "guest-greeting" in the treatment field of your auto-attd form (last page of the subscriber)instead of "transfer".
With call-answer, Audix will play the full subscriber greeting, and with guest-greeting the caller will hear the default message ("Please leave a message for ext/name").

If you do want to transfer the call to a station, make sure it is in service, or has a coverage-path (see also the afore mentioned thread). It depends on the system-settings and the Audix integration method whether or not the extension you want to transfer to must also be an Audix subscriber.

Cheers,
Nico

Nico...
Thanks for the lead. I had done a search previously, but did not hit this particular thread.
Going to check the suggestions in there.

MsGrace
