Intuity Audix messages are being delayed.
Is there some setting that needs to be set in orer to get it back in synch.

This is often due to the fact that the Intuity gets hosed up and needs to be rebooted peridiocally. Do a soft shutdown and cold boot the machine, in extreme cases it could take two or more reboots to effectively clear the machine. The box should be rebooted, depending on usage every three to six months.

Are the messages only from one mail box to another, or from an outside caller. Is it the message is delayed or is it the message waiting indicators?
Mach 4 and older Intuitys will sometimes run for years without a reboot, but Avaya seems to have decided to not do needed updates on Mach 5 machines, resulting in a need to set the time and then do a gracefull shutdown on a regular monthly basis.

P.S. For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Please answer all questions so that I may have the info to assist you. Leaving a post on how you fixed the problem will also be appreciated.

Being a Unix box, Intuity's do not have a "defrag" utility to run and depending on call volume and available message space the drive becomes verry fragmented over time resulting is slooow message response or in extreme cases a simple "I quit". One of the boot procedures if you watch the screens is "clear machine" when voice processing is being started. As I stated it can take one or more reboots to clear the box and restore sanity to it. Unix is very stable but kernal corruption and fragmentation will eventually take its toll. It has always been a guideline that you reboot an Intuity every 3 to 6 months from every tier 3 I have ever spoken with.

If you have maintenance, or want to pay $130, you can have Avaya go in and rebuild the kernal, and do some other maintenance type of work. That is if you are lucky and get a technician that is familiar with that kind of thing, or is willing to seek help from Tier 3.
The Intuity and PBX time have to be about the same, or it can cause problems. There is no way that I know of to synch them other than doing it manually.
