Audix requires us to put extension in name field on switch

Imbedded Intuity Audix (TN568 I am pretty sure)

Problem: Call comes in, rings 4 times, follows coverage path to voicemail. The voicemail then plays a greating asking the caller to enter the extension of the person they are calling.

I can fix this by putting the extension in the name field in the phone system.

For example:
Log into Definity
Change station 1234
Tab to name field
Enter name of "1234 John Doe" instead of just "John Doe"

Does anyone know what might be causing this and what a fix might be?

Do you have audix set as the message center in the hunt group for voicemail?
 
Are you new to this system? Has it always worked like this, or is this a new condition?

Do you know what type of Integration you're using?
