Wondering if I can use the auto attendant routing table to send calls to extension 1234 into the mailbox for ext 5678. I have a user with 2 DID's that only wants one mailbox to answer both. I can't use the dial plan routing of the legend because I treat the two DID's differently on the telephone set (Two separate call appearances using SSA)

That's exactly what it's there for. It's sort of a translator, so that if a call from extension 1234 is sent to voice mail, the routing table is checked for entries, if there are any, like 5678, then it will be sent there instead of 1234. Make sure to put 5678 in the day and night mailbox column.
