Audix Mailbox Is Busy?

Well I may have finally lost my mind and forgot how to set up a voice mail only station or something else is wrong! I set up a x port station of 276 with a cover path to go direct to voice mail. When I did this before the mailbox owner could go in and put in their greeting, change password etc. like normal but the one I just created says extension 276 is busy, to leave a message wait for the tone and doesn't allow any options. What did I forget?

The mailbox has not been setup by the user. If they record a personal greeting callers will get that. If there is name only or the mailbox is not set up, callers will get x276 or John Doe is "busy" because it is an X port. If that extension had a port you would get x276 or John Doe is "not avaiable

Ohhhh, got it..... didn't know an x-port did that. Thanks that did the trick!

It's not a symptom/feature of an x-ported station, it's a symptom/feature of a "virgin" mailbox.
