Hi,
I have DAP database through which users manipulate with data.
There is about 15 different IP's accessing that database and they are all in local network, Intranet.

Someone modified one row with wrong data and I would like to find out which computer made that change.
How can I find out which one of those 15 IP's did modify that specific row?
Is there some log or trace file, some option that I need to enable?

Hi tonijel,

This is an MS Access forum.

Is your DAP database linked-to from Access?

If not, you're in the wrong forum mate - start a new forum.

If so, then no, there is no way to find the info. that you want (if it hasn't already been pre-programmed). This would normally be 'collected' from within the application via VBA code, i.e. VBA code would interrogate, retrieve your information and store it in a table.

Your op-sys is your only alternative to find out who ran your DAP database program at that time exactly, which may well produce multiple hits, and only if your op-sys allows and is enabled to audit program execution etc.

Hi tonijel,

Duh - data access page - not much call for it in my company.

Nevertheless, I think that my explanation stands as above.

So the only way I could solve this problem is with my sys admin as Access don't have that option, or with some HC VBA :-(
Guys thx for your answers.
