Can anyone tell me how to activate the file for audit trails? I know you print in LD 22, however, every time I print, nothing comes up. Knowing that several people log in all the time, I would like to be able to track it. I am the only one with a level 2 password, so it shouldn't be resetting, unless I do it, right?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom!

Do you have a history file created in LD 17. If so how big is it? Anyone with access to the switch can change the history file if you have one. If you have limited access passwords, use that to prevent them from accessing LD 17. If anyone changes the history file size then the existing file is erased and started over again.

If no history file is there then go to LD 17 and type

CHG
ADAN
ADAN NEW HST
SIZE 10000 (this can be any size you want. It is the number of characters the file will contain. Dont go overboard on the size.)

this will start a new history file. Go to LD 22 and print

PRT
ADAN HST

this will give you the size of the file if you have it already.

My history file size is set at 40000. I was hoping to avoid printing the entire history every time I wanted to see who has been logging in. At my other remote sites, I can just go into LD 22 and type:

REQ PRT
TYPE AUDT

This brings up the list of logins since the last audit trail was run. For some reason, at one particular site, the audit trail will not print. It seems like there should be a place to enable this feature, but I can't find it...

The audit file is initiated in LD 17 umder the password gate opener at AUDT prompt enter YES system then prompt SIZE maximum value is 1500 words.

Remember every time you run an audit the information is then removed from the system.
