Audit policy

I setup an audit policy under the Domain controllers folder in active directory, do I need to move the newly created audit policy above the default domain policy?
 
depends on whether you want it to apply to DCs only or to all systems.
also remember that enabling auditing has two parts in most cases, that is, enabling the auditing in policy, and enable auditing on the object itself.
