We are running Mediant 1000's in remote offices with PRI lines. We are running Lync 2013 as well. We have centralized mediation servers running on the centralized Lync front-end servers. We have the SBA loaded on the Mediant 1000s for the remote sites as well also running as a mediation servers.

Ideally we want all calls, inbound and outbound to go through the remote site gateway and mediation server. Currently, the Inbound calls route through the local gateway just fine. However, all outbound calls are routing the RTP over the WAN through the central mediation servers before going out the remote site PRI, essentially doing a round-trip to the centralizes servers. Obviously this is adding latency and jitter and occasional call quality issues.

Anyone out there doing something like this and able to advise on the proper settings for both the Mediant 1000 and Lync? We've Googled this thing to death, called Audiocodes (they say it is a Lync issue and thus they cannot assist,) We've opened a ticket with Microsoft and we have engaged a consultant. Still now progress. I have some very unhappy people.

Any assistance appreciated.
