audio keeps playing when I stop or rewind video.

Figured out how to get the .mov to play with sound it was in the way it was saved from flash (choosing streaming), but the sound quality was not great.
Now trying to save as .swf
But when I bring into Director it plays with sound originally, but when I use the commands (stop, play, rewind) the movie responds and the sound stops playing
Using:
on mouseUp
sprite(4).rewind()
end
same for play and stop with .play and .stop
any ideas?
