Hello-
What is the to be able to click on a link to listen to the clip, then for the audio to play. I need A LOT of direction, starting from what format to save the audio files as. I've tried online tutorials but they seem to complicated and I see several different options. I would like to know the best and simplest way to achieve this,
Thanks.

As usual, my curser jumped all over the place and my message doesn't make any sense. What I was trying to ask was how to link to an audio file from within a web page. I want the user to be able to click on a link then for the audio to play. Can anyone provide direction?
Thanks!!

The user's web browser will take carae of what to do. Just link to your audio file as if it were a regular link: Click here to listen.

Your audio file can be in any format but I suggest you stick with either a .wav (Microsoft sound file format), .ra (Real Audio), or .mp3.

Caution: check with your hosting company. Audio files get really big, really fast - a 5 minute RealAudio file can be over 20 megabytes!). You may end up paying a premium for the excess bandwidth usage. There's always a better way...
