Hello,

I have a flash file made up of 9 scenes (each contains different image sources) and for each scene there is an overall sound file controller (background audio - client wants it)

However, once the sound is turned off in one scene, when you go to another the sound starts again unless you turn it off, etc etc

This is annoying, and being a new builder to flash I dont know of another way to "fix" this so on ANY scene when you turn the sound off (it stays off) until you click on the controller again - I'm assuming (with my limited knowledge) that the sound is at the "root' level and can be manipulated from anywhere within the file that way?

How do I do that?

More info is needed! Using a soundObject? Sounds laid on the timeline in each scene? What?

I'm the second person working on this file (the other guy got fired) it looks like he placed a button on each layer with an "onRelease go and stop(1)" on the on button and a and a "onrelease "stopallsounds" on the off button...

I've looked around the movie explorer for the audio file, but the only place I can find it is in the library,

Can you post a link to the .fla, zipped up and in MX only format, not MX2004?
Or mail it to me? Hit my handle for address.

Hey Oldnewbie

I've tried both addresses but I get bouncebacks from both...

is there a limit to the upload at Hotmail?? the files are 2.5mb (zipped)

Yep! 1MB! Either upload the zipped package to some web space, and provide a link to download from there, or maybe remove the sounds in a copy of your .fla (delete the sounds in the Library and then use Save As...) and try mailing it again. I can add my own sounds to check it out!

Can't open it! Are you on MX2004? You would have to save a copy as a MX only format...

Hi - I use flash 6 MX (not 2004) however I've sent a new url to you with files in both Flash 6 and 5 - included the swf's too)

Hope you can open them

I'm on MX only also! Are you on Mac?
.flas would have to be zipped up.
Also check your mail... Can't get to the newest .flas, maybe the cedilla in "françois.zip"?
