Is there any down fall to using a Polycom off an anolg port vs the Nortel conf unit? Can the analog conference as many people? BCM50 Rls3.

Not that I have noticed. Only thing is you can program a conference key on the Nortel, where as on the Polycom you need to use the feature codes. A bit more long winded to use but generally only 1/3 of the cost. I think the Nortel is way over priced to be honest.

Usually I tell users, when setting up larger multi party conferences, to use a digital or IP set and transter the conference call to the Polycoms. Makes life alot easier in my view.

Honestly i find the voice quality better on the analog version of the polycom versus the Nortel one.(digital)
Both made by Polycom but the analog one sounds better.
