Audio coming from computer, not tape in DV CAM

When I capture video from my JVC GR-DVL300U, the audio is getting recorded from the computers mic, and not the audio on the tape. What settings do I need to change to get this to work? I am using Premier 5.5 on a PIII/750 MhZ, 128M RAM, via generic 3 port 1394 capture card.

Plug the 'audio (or headphone-) out' of your camcorder into your soundcard and change your input device to the 'audio in' of your soundcard...
