Audio Codec

I have Motorola Mobile Phone tools and a Motorola V551 Cell phone and I am trying to move ringtones to my phone using the software but it will not work and gives me an error, I contacted Motorola and they said that the Codec that I have will not work and that they cannot help me fix it.

The Codec that they said was the problem is:

Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec (decode only)

They said that the decode only was the problem.

I have no idea what to do to fix this or what Codec to get.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

A quick look at the Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec, and it looks to be only for playback.

I suggest that you get back with Motorola and get from them what CODEC the you need to allow proper functioning. With that you can obtain it or post back and request assistance.
