I work in a Cisco environment that formerly is a Nortel environment.

We'd like the Audible Call Waiting to announce over the speaker on the phone and not in the ear piece?

Is this achieveable?

Thank you,

Joe

it is, on the line you need this to happen, on the ring setting for phone active change it to ring. if you want to do this for all system phones change it in the service params so it is default.

Thanks whykap.

Is there a way to make the actual TONE alert as opposed to the ring tone coming through the speaker?

Similiar how to when you get a second call on a Meridian 1 phone on a Nortel switch. On a Meridian set, the Call Waiting tone comes through your speaker phone when you receive another call. In Nortel terms, it's called a Call Buzz.

So many things on the Cisco are configuarble to mock Nortel Meridian digital phones, especially here on our Walgreens corporate campus...down to every department having their own I/C 2 digit call group on each phone. I guess that's flattery to Nortel :)

Thanks,

Joe

Set it to ring once instead of ring. It will just ring once to alert the caller of another incoming call.
No it's not going to be a call waiting tone, it's going to be the ring tone the user has selected for the phone, it will just ring one time.
Intercom is a built in feature of cisco call manager, there's no mocking there, just a straight up feature called intercom. Most systems have that feature not just nortel and customizing a new phone system to match the one replaced is pretty common as most users do not like change.
