I have a site with an old Option 61 on 3.0 with the 68060 processors. The callers report beeping on calls that sounds like some one pressing buttons on a keypad. This happens on both inbound and out bound calls.I have worked with the TAC for my company about the issue but could never duplicate it or fix it. I have replaced CNF/TDS cards and at one point thought we had narrowed it down to a T1 NT5D12 card but that didn't fix it. Any one have any brilliant ideas? They are now escalating because I can't figure it out.

Thanks everyone

Thanks,

Buddy

ACD or regular sets? using conf warning tone, expensive route? headsets?

Mato' Was'aka

regular phones, mostly M2008 and 2616. I investigated the expensive route tone but didn't think that was it. No headphones. I believe I checked the conf warning tone but am not sure. How can I test it again?

Thanks,

Buddy

you don't have wta in the cls of sets do you? you can check that in ld 81 lst Feat: wta

Mato' Was'aka

I pray you are right, no OTM or TM so I will be at it all night

Thanks BigIndian

Thanks,

Buddy

well it is coming from elsewhere as WTA is default, not WTD, so it's a bandaide not a fix if you can'tt find where, I would test it on 1 or 2 before going all out

Mato' Was'aka

you are sure expensive route is off in 86 & 87 right?

Mato' Was'aka

I am dialed in to the switch now, tell me what to check and I will post it

Thanks,

Buddy

prt your ESN in 86 look for ERWT, make it no if default yes. then just test that. RLI's also have EXP on them, default no, if any yes chg it.

Hmm, I wouldn't do the CLS on the sets. It is default WTA, and is WTA on every set I have, and prolly everyone elses, but beeping on every call is not going on. I don't know at this point

I feel somewhat proud that I stumped you but was hoping you were gonna make me feel stupid and tell me whatit was!

Thanks,

Buddy

being a free forum, wasn't gonna hangout after 5 on a Friday night doing research! lol!! Sorry!!

I think it's the carrier and not the PBX at all.

Big indian, I wasn't complaining. I totally understand not working on a friday night.

Gene, I thought about the LEC recording as this is a Homeland security site but am not sure how to prove that its not an issue in the PBX.

Thanks,

Buddy

I know ya wasn't complaining. You have more than 1 carrier? you get the beeps? ACOD other carriers if you have them, see if you can find no beeps

Mato' Was'aka

All 4 spans go through Verizon to a Gov't cs2100 for trunking. I personally think its the 2100 but can't prove it

Thanks,

Buddy
