Audible alert when tape mount requested from mountmode

I was wondering if there was a way to may TSM make an audible alert when there is a mount request. I'd like it to work when running under mountmode (dsmadmc -mount).

Not natively there isn't. You'd have to somehow script it via a crontab job that periodically does a "query request" and looks for mount requests, then fires some kind of alert off when it see's one. Wouldn't be too hard.

or us SNMP monitoring software to monitor for that kind of thing. I'd imagine larger organizations usually tie TSM into some kind of monitoring software..
