I am setting up an MX-ONE Media Gateway Classic (TSW/SP04) for a customer and they require audible and visual alarms, with an acknowledge of the audible alarm.
I planned on achieving the audible part of this using the Serviceman Input (ALSII), an Audible Alarm Output (ALAOI) and Audible Alarm Acknowledge Input (ALAII). A separate External Alarm Output (ALEOI) is defined to light a lamp for the visual alarm.
The visual alarm works fine and the lamp goes out automatically when the fault is cleared, as expected.
The problem I have is that the I can't seem to get the audible alarm acknowledged. I present a short circuit across the defined Acknoweldge Input, but the audible output still remains active (with the ALU2 output strappings I have, it presents a short circuit when active and open circuit when inactive).
Anybody got any ideas what I'm doing wrong, as the buzzer gets a bit annoying after a while when you can't acknowledge it.![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
