Hi There,

This is a really stupid question I know.

I'm getting a Micro motherboard and need a new atx case.
Will a normal atx case be ok or does it have to be a micro atx case?
Thanks for your help and I apologise for such a stupid question.

Jules

Any ATX mobo SHOULD fit any ATX case. You should check the PSU wattage is up to the job though.

Pete.

Yes as long as both the motherboard and case follow international form factor regulations, which they always do, it will be fine.
Just remember if the case is second hand only to put the stand off mounts aligned with the correct points on the motherboard.
Micro ATX motherboards do tend to be somewhat of a trade off, they are generally based on lower performing integrated chipsets and have a limited upgrade path, just a footnote* and information I am sure you already knew.
