Attribute Relationships ???

This may be a stupid question, but... How important is creating the parent/child attribute relationships in MSTR? Can you create reports without doing it??

Absolutely important. You can create reports but you will get the wrong results because you will cross join the tables.

If for _every_ report you are ready to force all the join in the filters + you have a star schema, then you don't need relationships. Of course, then you can not drill/....

On the other hand, if you have bad relationships, then the SQL will be weird and your results will be unpredictable.
