I have a follow up question to your responses, for which I thank you.

Original question: Customer has MICS 7.0 with PRI. They have 3 companies. When an employee makes a call, they want the caller ID for the appropriate company to show up at the remote end. Their telco service is able to program trunk groups on the PRI that will send out the appropriate caller ID. Problem is, we can't figure out how to put the PRI channels in different line groups on the MICS, so the employee can dial '9' or '8' and access the trunk group on the PRI that is appropriate for the call. Possible?

New Question: How will the OLI feature work when one employee makes outbound calls from the same phone on behalf of all 3 companies, and wants to be able to send the right caller ID for each call?

for the new question i think the answer is no ...i'll be interested to know if there is a work around

these may or maynot be feasible
use one OLI and block it for other 2 calls or get 3 diff extensions

I also think the answer is no...Can't think of a way around it without using 3 different phones. I'm also interested if anyone has a work around.

my name isn't in the title but why couldn't you house the pri's on seperate switches and network with MCDN. Set destination codes up for the individual pri's. Sure you have to dial a seperate code for each call but without using multiple systems, not sure how it would be done.

I don't understand why putting these pri's into seperate pools is an issue on second thought. The question was:

" Problem is, we can't figure out how to put the PRI channels in different line groups on the MICS, so the employee can dial '9' or '8' and access the trunk group on the PRI that is appropriate for the call. Possible? "

Answer from installer guide:

Line type
This setting specifies how the line is to be used in relation to
other lines in the system.
Press CHANGE to select the setting: Public, Private to:, or
Pool (A to O or PRI-A to PRI-D).
• A Public line can be accessed by more than one telephone.
• A Private line can be assigned only to one telephone and
the prime telephone for that line. Use CHANGE and the
dialpad to enter the internal number of the telephone.
• Pool assigns the line to one of the line pools. If a line is
assigned to a line pool, but is not assigned to any
telephone, that line is available only for outgoing calls (for
example, PRI lines). page 364 of isntallers guide

am i missing something? if so sorry just trying to help..

I think we are talking about only 1 PRI circuit not multiple PRI's. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

my mistake if so, i didn't read close enough.
