I need some help with my attendant consoles. I inherited this switch and don't know much about how the attendant consoles are set up. I have 2 active 2250 consoles. When people call in and are waiting in que, I would like them to get a ran recording, then some music, then another ran. My main number is an acd que but when I made the change to the que, I still get a ring no answer while I'm waiting to be answered.

Can anybody help guide me in the right direction? What am I missing?

Thanks.....

I'll assume that the main number q is in NCFW to the Attn q, if so, as the Attn q is always open, assigning RAN's to the main q won't achieve anything as all the calls will forard to the Attn q.

What you need to do is set up a feature call "RAN on arrival". You do this in LD15, ROA_DATA, which you can print in LD21. This is an example of a working ROA
TYPE ROA_DATA
CUST 0

TYPE ROA_DATA
CUST 00
OPT ROI
FRRT 9
FRT 16
SRRT 10
SRT 30
WAIT MUS
MURT 6
RICI 0 1

briefly, set OPT to ROI, then your 1st RAN, then timer etc

I changed the ROA_DATA to the correct RAN/Music Routes but it's still not working. I noticed under the ATT_DATA that there are Call waiting settings. Could that have something to do with it?

Thanks again for your help.

CHECK THAT YOUR RAN ROUTE IS WORKING,CHECK THAT YOU HAVE AN ICI KEY ASSIGNED FOR HOW YOUR CALL IS COMING IN TO THE ATT.

The RAN routes work fine when I dial the ACOD. I was curious and called our operator from the outside (route 8) while I was on the phone with her (in order to wait in the que). After 4 rings, outside callers get the ran and music recordings the way I expect. When I tested it from our tie line (route 19), it just gave me ring back tone until she picked up.

I'm so confused....

YOU DONT HAVE ROUTE 19 ASSIGNED TO AN ICI KEY ON THE CONSOLE SO IT WONT GET THE RECORDING.

I was mistaken about route 8. The calls actually come in through route 23. I thought ICI 0 was route 1 through 23. Is looks like it is actually route 1 AND 23. I added route 19 to ICI 0 but I can't remove route 1 (invalid route) How would I go about doing that?

By the way. When I added route 19, it worked!!!

Thanks for your help....
