Hi everyone, I'm trying to put a console about 1200 to 1300 feet away from the PBX (Nortel Meridian 61C, 600 Ohm Switch), at the location I have 29.10 VDC on PWR TN, which is looped around 6,and 7,on the 110 block and the first TN, is on 0, and the second TN is on 1 on the 110 block, I'm showing 29.10 on both TN's 0,1, but the console will not come on line, I have 20 M3904's at the same location, what steps have I missed.
Thank You for your help.

tn 1 needs to be on the white blue pair and pair 2 needs to be on the white orange or the amp... it should come up without power.. the distance will require to keep the lamps bright enough.. not needed for operations.. the distance is less then half the distance of my 6 consoles.. if layer one is in doubt.. forget the power and connect an amp at the frame

Hello John Poole,
I have TN # 1 on White Blue Pair and TN # 2 is on the White Orange Pair, TN PWR is on Pair 6 and 7, which is Red Orange and Red Green.
I will need a 30 volt DC Amp, at ? amps and hook it to the PWR Pairs 6 and 7 in switch room, I wander if the brightness was turn down, that would explain the no Display on the console display, is this a possibilty?
Thank You for your help, you guys are great on this Forum.
Let me know.

i've never seen one completly dark, even without power.. your wired right if red orange is tip of power and red green is ring of power.. if it is just power you can hit a loop key and dial a dn.. that should ring the set... you need one amp, i usually end up with 24 volts at one amp IF i am using a remote ps.. the consoles do not draw that much, if they did that 21 gauge tie cable would almost smoke. .. i've taken an amp, punched down the 1st two on the frame.. then the next idf... your to close for power alone to be the problem

Hook it up in the switch room first to get it working and then move it to where you need it. if it doesn't work there, then your doing something wrong.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

acewarlock,
Thank You for your response, yes I hooked up the console in the switch room and it worked correctly, took it to the location where I want it and there is nothing on the display.
John stated if the tip and ring were backward, it would not work correctly, i have a new employee working with me, so we will re check the wiring, if that dosen't fix it, I'll try the AMP detail, see if that corrects it.
Thank You
