have Attendant Console setup for the main receptionist successfully. She has 6 separate lines (1001 - 1006) on the same partition using a 7960 phone.

The backup receptionishts has a 7960 with lines (1007 - 1012. But she doesnt have attendant console yet.

When I tried setting up Attendant Console on the Second Receptionist, I created a separate loging for her and created a user called AC2 on the Global Directory.

I am able to open the Attendant Console but the lines are grayed out. --- After reading it seems that it only uses the AC user in the Global Directory, is this true?

MY QUESTION: How can I successfully setup Attendant Console for 2 (two) receptionists/Operators ? What strategies can you give me?

I have tried everything and they are waiting on me!!!

What version CCM are you using?? I have done what you are trying to do with no issues on CCM 4.0 and 4.1.

From what I see there are a few items that must be followed.

1. You must add users through the CCM AC user configuration page and assign them a password before they can login.

2. You must create ONE GENERIC user, the "ac" user, and associate the attendant IP phones and the pilot points with this user.

3. You must configure pilot points and hunt groups through the CCM Administration page before the Cisco TCD can route calls.

4. If the pilot point is not the main or general telephone number, the main number can go to a translation pattern that is transformed to the pilot number.

I hope this helps out!!!!!

Hi,

Check windows firewall, this can also be responsible for grayed out the lines.

I have configured three Attendant consoles on one CM without problems.

Good luck

Thanks jeter, I didn't know it was only one and you could associates all the devices to it.

simple, worked like a charm =)
