I'm currently looking for options other than the 'lovely' SN610 attendant console that we currently have. One of our receptionists spilled coffee on it one day & it just hasn't been the same. I'm hoping that there are some 'newer' options available that won't require any 'programming' as we have had this 'running' for quite some time & the programmer has long since gone (with a lot of the books/passwords) and we're afraid to touch it for fear of crashing the system. Please let me know if there are options out there (would LOVE to have something that had a wireless option...

let me know,
C

There are options but they would all require some programming. However I would expect the supplier to do all that for you. The IAC is a nice option which I have seen used with wireless headsets.

Yeah - I was hoping to do it all by myself. Hoping for a "plug & play". Would the programming be like how you change the time on the phones? Where I would be able to do it from a terminal phone? What does IAC stand for by the way.

I'll probably get corrected on this but If I remember correctly it is "Interactive Attendants Console" it is PC based and most definitely not a user install type option.

No plug and play option for you on this. You will have to replace the SN610 with same OR you will have to reprogram system for a new attendant / operator phone (i.e. 16 button or 32 button dterm)

I would look on Ebay or reseller market for a used / refurbed console.

I don't think the IAC would be a useful option unless you have ethernet / OAI equipment available on your system.

Programming a dterm as an operator position can be done via CAT mode but can be very involved. If it is hurting your business I would build a new station on a 16 or 32 button set, assign 4-6 virtual numbers in a pilot hunt group and CF "0" -all calls to the first virtual number. I would not use the prime / my line. This would take the att con out of play temporarily until you find a replacement.

Good option. I didn't think of trading down to a dterm but if you do then create a seperate number for "0" to be forwared to and make that a seperate appearance on the Dterm. just as you would have a seperate key for operator calls on the console.

If you were really keen you could also make this the only member of a ucd group and allow calls to queue on to the key.

Okay - I'm knew to this all & now totally confused...Too many accronyms! :)
It's not hurting the business, so much as annoying the crap outta me. I have to use it on a great occasion. I'm also curious if I could get the Operator # to ring on multiple stations, so if I can't go wireless or change to a different phone, at least I could have it ring at certain back up dterms.
I know there is a program associated w/ it (seen it in action), but only have access to cat mode at this time.

Unfortunately not whilst you still have a console. If you were to change the main number to ring on Dterms it would not then ring on the console.

Attcon and TAS in CM 3002/3003 will allow you to have incoming trunk calls ring both the attcon and other stations. Changing the trunk tenant will allow it to ring a TAS key on certain selected sets and not all the ANS keys in the PBX.
If this is an IVS you can have internal 0 calls ring both the attcon and appearances on Dterms using CM 5A. Doesn't work with IVS2 and IPS though.

Perhaps a different manual down here but I don't see a setting for attcon & tas in the IVS2 manual and even if it did, I am at a loss as to how you would use that to ring a dterm? Not saying it can't be done just curious.

In CM 3002/3003 assign trunks to a 10 in the IVS2. In the IVS it is a 19. Attcon + TAS.
Place the incoming trunks in another tenant. E.g. 05.
Place a TAS key on a Dterm (F4005) and then incoming calls will ring the attcon and the key on the Dterm. Usually set the TAS key on the Dterm to delayed ring.

Yeah must be a different manual 10 is not shown in our version. Can't you just set it up to flash the ans key so that you dont get all those dterms suddenly making a whole heap of noise? That way you don't take up an extra key.

You could just change the ANS key to TAS 05 (in this example) from the default TAS 01 if you don't want to burn up a key. Most sites I deal with have plenty of keys to play with. The idea for most customers is that the feature key signifies the type of call as one that the attcon is also receiving. Stands out better than the ole ANS key ringing and flashing.
The other beauty of this is that if no-one answers the call TAS will now overflow to VM.
Kinda strange you don't see 10 in your manual. I thought all the manuals went international a year or 2 ago. Mine has settings for Oz, NZ, China, BCS (Philips EUR), UK and all of South America.

Perhaps it's just an old print I don't have the dvd to hand as my wife took my car to go shopping in (company pays the petrol bill). The document reference on the bottom of the page is ND-70932(E) Rev.2.0 91147-20
all it shows are 02, 03, 04, 08, 09, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22 & 31.
