Attempting to save changes to one form crashes Access

I have an Access database with many (100+) forms. I am using Access 2003 with an Access 2000 format database. I am going through fixing a large number of issues, and I was having difficulty compiling due to references to Outlook (which is not installed on this computer). I attempted to comment out all references to Outlook until I have a chance to deal with that later.

When I attempted to save my changes, Access crashed. After this happened a few times, I no longer believed it was a fluke. I began making the changes one form at a time, and everything worked except for one form. Any time I try to edit this form and save it, Access crashes.

I have tried exporting the form, which also causes Access to crash. I deleted the form, and everything else worked fine. When I attempted to re-import the form from a backup, Access crashed again. I have tried importing the form to a blank database, and Access crashes. I have tried using the /decompile switch, and when I go to save changes again it crashes.

It seems any attempt to import, export, or save changes to this form is immediately fatal. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Short of completely re-creating the form from scratch, is there anything you can think of to save this poor form?

Thanks.

Usually the /decompile switch is my last resort, so if that doesn't fix it I can't think of anything else that will.

I've had similar problems (especially with Access2000). The only solution was to recreate the form. If you can at least get to a code window you might try copying and pasting the code to a text file - at least that saves you retyping the code. When you finish recreating the UI elements of the form you can paste the code back in. However, to make any event code "stick" you will need to go to it once through the properties window of the control. Also remember to name your controls the same as the original form.
