Hello:
Trying to install HP 7150 printer on Dell 2400 PC using USB ports. I have tried every port on the 2400 and I always get this error message,,"You have connected your printer to the front USB port. The front port is for camera use only. Please click "OK" to exit and reconnect your computer to the printers rear USB port."
I have cleared the HP 7150 registry entry and did a restart on the PC but continue to get the same error message. Please can someone point me to the solution of this.
Thanks in adavance

did you uninstall the printer?
did you use the rear USB when you re-installed?
did you use the HP install disc?

Yes I uninstalled the printer.
Yes used the rear port when I re-installed
Tried to use disc and installed to the point where I was supposed to turn on the printer power and connect the usb cable and as soon as I did that got error message and could go no further in the install sequence.

you did not have the usb plugged in before you installed the software did you?

HP is finicky, redo your uninstall & reg edit of the printer and reinstall without the usb plugged in til it asks for it.
