Attachments opening in RTF

We have distribution groups set up that email CSV attachments to the recipients. Over the past two weeks the recipients have recieve our discalimer email but the attachment is either missing or called originmail.eml.

The group inc charge of email say that no changes or upgrade to Outlook have occurred. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened?
