attachments not seen in outlook

Hi all.

I have 1 user who cannot open attachments that are sent from 1 particular user. He cannot even see the attachment, it appears to be not attached (but it is).

He can open the same attachment sent from anyone else.

The person who sends the email, sends it to multiple recipients within my company. Everyone else can open the attachment.

All these users are on the same terminal server, using the same install of Outlook.

The sender is using Lotus Notes Release 6.5.2.

The other users don't see the paper clip icon beside the emails sent from the Lotus notes user, but they can see the attachments and open them.

The user that cannot see the attachments at all. In tools>options, see if he has it set to use html, rich text, or plain text for formatting. Try switching it around, and see if you can view the attachment now. See what the other users have it set to.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

The answer...

Under the 'view' menu, current view, customize, I removed all the fields and re-added them. This worked. There is still no paper clip icon, but who cares aye?
