attachments in sendmail ?

OK guys - I now have sendmail running fine -

within my perl script I assign a file to a scalar -
I now need to send the details of this file with the email -
All I am getting at the mo is the path that is specified in the above assign statement -

It runs fine on my windows servers .....

I have tried it with and without ""'s and with single 's ...

any ideas chaps .... ??

Sorted it now - just assigned it to a FH ,then assigned this to an array ....

Still not sure why it works on windows and not linux without this tho -

ho hum ;0)
