Attachments in Exchange

Is there a way in Exchange 5.5 to have attachment files saved to another location. I would like to have attachment files saved to a NAS unit and not on the exchange server.

This is not a function or option that is built into Exchange. You could attach the Exchange server to the NAS unit and put your entire databases there. I have heard of people doing this, but I'm not sure what would happen if the network connection went down. Keep in mind that this could affect the performance of the Exchange server, although this would be minimal if you're running a gigabit connection.
