I am trying to add attachments automatically using microsoft access. I'm using macros and sending report files as email objects, but I also want access to go grab a couple files off the network and add them as attachments to the email also. If someone knows how or if this is possible please let me know, thanks...

The simple OutputTo command does simple emailings, but if you're going to try and do more complex things with email, you're going to have to use the more complex functions. There's all sorts of options and libraries that will get what you need done; of course you haven't provided any details.

Given the information, the answer is: yes, there are tons of solutions. I'd recommend you search (see link below) on sending emails with attachments; you'll get a lot of similar previous topics.

Slipstick.com is the best site I know of for learning the magic of programming with Outlook, which is what most folks using Access use as an e-mail client. There are, of course, MANY other options, but if that's what you happen to be using, check out slipstick.

Also, if you're going that path, check out Redemption (google for that and Outlook, and you'll find it). It gets you around the weak and annoying security that is part of the later versions of Outlook. It costs a couple hundred dollars, but that's the developer's license. Once you've got that you can ship the library as part of your code to as many uses as you want for no charge.
