When attempting to open email attachments (via FirstClass in a Macintosh Managere school environment) users often get the following message:
The translator "ASCII" couldn't be found. Please delete the file "XTND Translator List" from your Preferences file and relaunch Appleworks."
Well we tried this. Still no luck. Well, frankly it might work once but with no HD access for most of the users this is a pretty useless as removal of the pesky preference will require a tech visit every time someone wants to open an attachment in Appleworks...
UNLESS... someone out there has a cunning plan. That's what I am hoping for anyway.
Thanks in advance
Tony
