Attachment File Size

Folks,

I have a exchange5.5 mail server. One of my customer ask me, what is the file size limit for inbound and outbound attachment file. I don't recall I did anything on the file size limitation. Where do I look for to see the configuration?

You have two different settings for e-mail size:
1. Limit for the MTA
2. Limit for the IMC

As default, no limit will be set. If you want to change this and set some kind of limit go into the properties of the MTA or IMC and change the limit property.

It's the Internet Mail Connector or IMS (Internet Mail Service). You can see it's properties in Exchange Administrator under 'site name', Configuration, Connections, Internet Mail Service.
