We have just placed an order for some high end RS6000s to replace our existing Unix servers - and as part of this process we have decided to look at integrating Network Appliance Filers with these systems to act as the disk storage.

These Net App Filers are a NAS device - and will be attached to the RS6000s via Gigabit network. This means that the file systems will effectively be NFS mounts to the filers.

These RS6000s are going to represent our core Oracle trading platform - and I would like to know if anyone else has any experience of using these devices, attached to an RS6000 any problems they may have encountered/work arounds etc.

Thanks in advance

Andy
