I'm having trouble attaching Materials to Autocad objects, when I try to attach the material 'bricks' to an Autocad 'wall' I can't change the mapping, so that the brinks look correct. All I get is an ERROR message saying: No faces in the selection set!
Can Anyone Help?

Hi,

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you rendering a drawing?

Hi
Yes I'm trying to render a drawing,I'm using autocad architechtural desktop and have drawn a structure using the walls command. When I try to assign the material 'bricks' to the 'wall' the mapping is incorrect.
With other objects I have rendered before I have changed the mapping by clicking on the object, but when I try to click on the wall I get the error message - No faces in the selection set!

Hi,

I've never used architechtural desktop, so I'm not of the setup or have never used the walls command. Is the rendering the same as standard AutoCAD?

Cheers,

I have found that if I want to draw a wall for rendering, Arch. Desktop walls do not work. There may be a way, but I do not know it. Draw the wall with solid obejects instead.
