I would like to send out an email with an attached .HTML file. In this .HTML file is an IMG statement so that I could put a company logo at the top of this report. I then send out the email with both the .HTML file and .BMP file. The problem is that I believe that when the .HTML file runs, it will look for that .BMP file in a specific directory but since this report is emailed all over, there is no way to specify which users have which temporary folders from which this .BMP file can be loaded from. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks,
Pete

Firstly, some browsers will object to .bmp files in <img> tags - you should use a gif, png or jpg instead (the file size will be lower too!).

Secondly, rather than trying to automaticly download images onto the recipient's hard disk (which any decent email client won't let you do anyway), you can put the image on a web server somewhere an reference its full URL in the email HTML, like this:

[tt]<img src=&quot;[/tt]

Thanks, Chris. Great idea - all I got to do now is talk IT into hosting this file.
