Attaching Files to Filemaker Pro?

I am designing a sales database in filemaker pro, and I want to be able to attach a excel file or a word file to the database so I am able to click on the certain file in the database and it open that file up in excel/word seperatly.

So really it is just a link to the file, but I want to make it user friendly so it is easy for someone to add a file and just click on it at a later stage so it will bring up the file in the files related program.

I was trying to do it with a container field which works in a way where you can see the file, but now i want to be able to click on that file and it open up in its related program.

Any help would really be helpful.
