I have an 18D set on a Partner system and have tried to attach the Plantronics Wireless Headset to it. It works well to an extent, but when away from the desk I cant seem to get the headset to ring in my ear so that I can pick up the phone. I have to be listening when I am away so that I can activate the handset pick and receive the call.
What am I not doing?

What is the model number of your plantronics headset?

We all need a little help once in awhile. Tony the Phoneman..

Do you have the cord that attaches to the headset base to pick-up the sound of the ringer? If so, make sure it is placed on the speaker of the phone so it will properly hear the ringing. If not, you need that cord to make that portion work properly.

turn thte ringer volume up on that phone. i have used the CS50, CS55, and CS70 with the partner phones and never had to use the mic. I guess if the customer doesnt want his/her phone ringing loud it might be a good idea to use the mic.
