Our Workgroup Templates (Word, Excel) are stored on one server. Some weeks ago we moved them to another machine and deleted them on the old one. We changed user settings with GPO and everything worked fine. Yesterday we finally switched off the old server. Now Users are calling it takes them 30 sec up to several minutes to open certain documents. Once the document is open we can see the path of the old server in the Attached Template box. We deleted this entry and saved the document. Now it opens in normal speed. But we have several thousands of documents. As a workaround we installed an old NT workstation with IP adress and NetBIOS name of the old server. That is okay for the moment but there should be another solution.
