'Attach...' error when logged in as user

Hi all

Running SQL Server Express R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and logging in via Windows Authentication > right click on Databases and selecting 'Attach...', all works as expected.

Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and logging in via SQL Server Authentication, login 'chris', password 'Password' > right click on Databases and selecting 'Attach...', produces messagebox

Cannot show requested dialog
Additional information:

Parameter name:nColIndex
Actual value was -1 (Microsft.SqlServer.GridControl)

Any idea as to what the problem might be, please?

Replaced SQL Server Express 2008 with SQL Server Express 2012 and problem solved itself.
