Good day,

This is my error log message :

Unable to attach to \\NTSERVER\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes.
Access is denied.

Can you explain to me what can i do ? i'm new administrator
of server and i think i don't have the password...!

Thanks a lot for your help !

Alain

Check the services. Find backup exec. Check the username and password it uses to log on.

If you don't know the password for that account, change it. Then change the password for EACH of the services that use it.

Go to Exchange Admin. Click each of the containers (org, site and server) and check the properties. Add that user in and you now have access.

Make sure that the user name that you installed on has Administrative rights ...(IE: Administrator), if not then you'll have to perform several steps
1) goto the services folder and select the Backup Services and then goto the LOGON tab
2) change the account that you initially installed it under, by default it will install it under the system account
3)Change all the services accordingly and once completed STOP all the services
4) Goto the Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT\Data\Bewinui.uni rename this file to .old and then restart all the services
5) This should resolve your problems

Opps I almost forgot
If the user account does not have a mailbox account then you'll also have to create it and give administrative rights to this user, In my case I granted all the rights Enterprise and Domain Admin privilages.
Once all these steps were done your access to these folders should not be a problem anymore.
