attach data to pdf

hi everyone,
i have a tricky question and not sure if it's even doable.
i have a program that allows me to make notes about pdf documents and it attaches, using its database, the notes to the documents. I'm able to export the data, which consists of notes, date and the document name to excel.

I'm looking for any script or tool that enable me to write these notes to the pdfs or link these notes somehow to the documents for searching purposes. what I'm trying to do is to be able to find a pdf when searching for a specific note.

please let me know if my question doesn't make sense or if you need any more clarifications.

Acrobat Pro allows you to attach notes easily. After attaching the note, you can copy it, open Document properties, and paste them into the Keywords box.

You might try downloading a trial, if you do not have it, to see if it meets your needs. I think regular acrobat - not reader - will do the same but not sure since I have pro.

thanks jmgalvin, but the only problem, which I should've mentioned, is that I have 60,000 documents and I'm trying to automate the process. I have a excel table with the notes and pdfs names and looking for some tool or script to attach the notes to the pdfs.

60,000? NO problem. That's what nights, weekends, holidays and vacations are for.

If you have Acrobat, you might want to Google up Acrobat plugins. There are alot out there. You could also go to Adobe forums/Acrobat. They have some fulltime Adobe employees who monitor it and really know their stuff.
