My problem is that when i create a new attachment in a form
and then I change the document in an external editor (MS Word), the change is not persistent and I lose the new information in lotus notes Form. The field is a rich text field.
How can I attach a file to a form and then see the changes made in Word from Notes?

A basic feature of Notes is that when you have a document attached to an email, you cannot change that copy of the document. When you edit it, you must save the change in a file, and then attach the changed file to an email back to the sender. This is a feature, not a problem!
Fred Wagner
frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us

The only other option is to use the document library template this allows you to create Office documents, name them change them and re save the alterations. This is a standard template that comes with Notes.

Hope this helps.
