I am trying to connect to get the system configuration report. I running Hyper terminal, and have configured 1200,8,n,1,Xon/Xoff with crossover patch and RJ45 to serial. It doesn't appear to be connecting at all. Could someone give me a bullet list of step to take? I getting stumped. Thanks in advance.

I have a Cisco Router Management Cable. I believe this has the right pinout for the job. RJ45 stright through and a converter to 9 pin serial. Anybody?

The Avaya 355 Adapter IS propritary. none of the other ones are close. You can make your own, do a keyword search above for adapter or pinout
