ATT Doorphone Controller on IPOffice

Replacing a Merlin Legend with an IPOffice and want to reuse the ATT doorphone controller as one of the two doors has a strikeplate.
Currently the Controller connects to the Legend via a line port. Wanted to do the same with my IPOffice; connecting to a line port and assigning the doorphone line port to the call receiving extensions. I tested it breifly with my demo IPOffice before I had to run... the doorphones just screamed (wicked noise). I'm guessing it's dip-switch settings?

Anyone ever tried doorphones on IPO this way?
