Hey Everyone,

We are cutting over our long distance circuit with ATT.

Here is part of an attachment i received from ATT.

NETWORK CONVERSION CUTOVER INFORMATION

-Conversion project is not providing new access or facilities

- Changes are made in the AT&T switch from SDN to Megacom

-We only change billing on Inbound (800)

-When the trunk group is down, 800 service goes down

-Be prepared to be down 1- 2 hours

-ISDN – if currently inserting a 1 ;you will need to strip the 1
change SDN to Meg8
-SDN- strip 1

ATT said that i will need to setup my IMX2400 so it does not send a 1 out when making long distance calls.

How do i accomplish this with programming it through the Mat Terminal?

Thanks in advance.

Urgently contact your vendor and ask them to reconfigure your LCR programming. This is not something an untrained person should be aking for help on the internet about. There will be a set time for the cutover and unless everything is tee'd up just right it will fail and you will have to revert to the previous arrangement with the associated costs. I have just dealt with a change of carrier which took three attempts, I was only involved with the last and the customer was paying.

The only other scenario is that you are without service for God knows how long, can your business survive an outage? For that matter can your employment prospects survive an outage?

Mind you perhaps it isn't as critical over there!

Not only stipping the one but also setting the Network Specific Features to Megacom. This is something that needs to be configured by a qualified tech. I wouldn't dare try to explain how to do this on the web.
